Alumna's Matching Gift Means $1 = $3

Shirley Conibear (‘68) wants to help more students benefit from a Shimer Great Books education and she is challenging you to help too.

Shimer received more applications from prospective students last year than at any time since the 1970s. Yet, many of those students were unable to enroll for financial reasons. We can’t allow this to happen again!

This is where you come in. If you make a gift between now and January 19, 2010, Shirley will match one of your dollars with two of her own, thus tripling the effect of your gift. Your contribution will provide critical scholarship support for aspiring Shimerians. The “triple” effect of your gift will turn the wishes of our prospective students into reality. Thanks to your generosity and Shirley’s, we can help others benefit from the Shimer education you were fortunate to receive.
