<< BackShimer Has Talent
This semester’s Orange Horse took place on Saturday, November 12. Dorian Gomberg ‘14, Jack Garvin ‘12, and professor Albert Fernandez hosted the talent show and open mic event with great aplomb.
There were, as usual, some notable highlights. New faculty member Aron Dunlap performed with his wife Pauline (pictured below), both part of the band Good Dust. Dorian, Matt Kawahara ‘14 and Joe Bradshaw ‘12 covered Tom Petty’s “Free Falling,” which turned into an impromptu sing-along. We were treated to a sneak preview of the fall play, Eugene Ionesco’s The Lesson. Ben Bornstein ‘13 opened the floor to a Q&A directed at his father Josh, whom he had brought along for the occasion, about Ben’s penchant for tropical-fruit-flavored lipgloss. And of course, Eric Nicholson ‘72 performed what has become “The Francis Shimer Song.”
